About our Broadband service

  • To subscribe to this service do I need to be a UK Telecom customer?
  • No, however if you wish to subscribe for Broadband service we recommend you choose to have your line rental with us as in the event of any fault on your line we can act to have the fault rectified as soon as possible. If the line rental is not with us you will be reliant on France Telecom to rectify any fault.


  • What speed will my service run at?
  • The speed will always depend on the quality and length of the line between your property and the local exchange. Above a certain distance from the local exchange you will not be able to subscribe to this service.

  • Can you take over my FT line?
  • Yes, you can apply to have your line rental with us. This means you no longer need to pay France Telecom and in the event that any problems occur on your line you should contact us.

  • Will the broadband service work with my computer?
  • Your computer must have the following operating software: either Windows 2000; Mac OS X or newer. The wifi modem we supply is a high quality plug and play product. This means that the set up will be simple, we supply written guidance and in the event of any difficulty you can access our technical support during normal office hours on our Freephone number from France.


  • How long does it take to set up the service?
  • This normally takes 15 working days from the date of receiving your completed application form. However it may take longer if there are any technical problems with your line.


  • What if I want to cancel my contract?
  • You may cancel our Standard Broadband service at any time as there is no minimum contract period, however we do require 30 days written notice. A cancellation fee of 100.00? will apply for any cancellation within the first 12 months, thereafter this is reduced to 45.00 €. Our Onebill Value service has a minimum contract of 12 months and cancellation fee of 45.00 €.


  • How much is the modem rental?
  • The Modem rental is 3.00 € per month. The modem remains the property of UK Telecom and must be returned in good working order at the end of the contract. A non returned modem will incur a standard charge of 100.00 €.
